20 year old actress Lindsay Lohan was involved in a accident early Saturday morning (5/26/2007) where she wrecked her Mercedes SL65 convertible where she was taken to the hospital.  She was later arrested for DUI in California and other felony charges.  Since she is under 21 and California has a zero tolerance policy for underage drinking and driving, she was charged with a minor under the influence, a misdemeanor charge in California.

Lohan had been going from clubs to private parties throughout Friday night and early Saturday morning. At times her bodyguard was driving for her.

Lohan is due to be arraigned August 24,2007.

According to hollywood news, Lindsay Lohan’s saving grace is that she accepted that she has a problem and decided to take the matter seriously. She enrolled at a rehab facility and successfully completed their program. One of the signs that she has taken her rehabilitation seriously was the fact that she was willing to admit her fault and offered herself up to face DUI charges.
