How to submit your site or individual pages to the search engines

We tell our web engineers and SEO clients that if you create a new page(s) or make changes to a page, be sure to submit the page(s) url to the search engines.  At least the major ones.  Don't assume they will find them in a few hours.  For simplicity, I have put together a page that has the links of the search engines to submit to.  You can click here to view my search engine submissions page.

I believe its better to tell the search engines of your changes (or your clients changes) then to wait for them to find it on their own.

Another great tool to notify Google and Yahoo of your changes if you have a XML sitemap of your site is Googles Webmaster Tool and Yahoo's Site Explorer.

Create an XML sitemap and submit it or a HTML sitemap - search engine submissions page
