Audio Guys Leaping Into Podcasting

I just realized that I've had conversations with three audio guys in the last couple of weeks regarding Podcasting. What's rather amazing is how rapidly each of them has taken to blogging and Podcasting. It's as though they were waiting for technology like this to really jolt forward with their own creativity (versus always doing projects for other people).

I can understand how that feels. It's been a similiar process for me. The more I blog and the more I create my own Podcasts and interviews of unique people, the more excited and energized I feel. It's as though more creativity flows and more opportunities seem to come knocking.

This is because the Internet and the new protocol RSS are making it easy to be your own radio station per se.  Since most folks who are now doing audio have already made the investment in a website, it's a small jump to installing a blog and beginning to Podcast. You just have to update your site with some new software and register your RSS feed (blog and RSS 2.0 feed for your Podcasts). The barrier for making your creative talents available to others who want to subscribe, globally, is tiny now. Compared to buying a radio station and transmitter and FCC licenses, it's really tiny.

Anyway, welcome these three creative souls to the Internet with their blogs and Podcasts. Each have their own specialty area with audio and music and have been in business for years - many years.

I predict we'll see and hear more from them soon.

Tom

Our Lost Voice

Tom, as one of your "audio" guys, I'm having such a great experience with blogging. Podcasting is coming soon no doubt as well. I suppose this nice feeling you talk about has it's roots in all of our "lost voices". I got this term from psychotherapist, Amy Person, whose blog can be found here:

It's a huge topic, but fitting in this context. My best to you. - Gary Powell
